Company Document Translation — German ↔ French

Accurate translations for companies and their advisers

Setting up a subsidiary, registering a branch, opening a bank account, restructuring or hiring staff: Franco-German businesses regularly have to produce their documents in the other language. Commercial registries, banks, notaries and public authorities then generally ask for a certified translation.

Julie Auger-Kantor, sworn German ↔ French translator and interpreter and court-appointed expert at the Paris Court of Appeal, translates documents issued by German, Austrian and Swiss companies for use in France, as well as documents of French companies for use in German-speaking countries. Translations mirror the original: the layout, article numbering and defined terms are kept, so every clause can be found at once in both versions.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a certified translation of a commercial register extract?
It depends on the recipient. Commercial registries, notaries and public authorities generally require a certified translation. For information purposes only, a professional translation without certification may be enough – if in doubt, check with the recipient.
Is the article numbering kept?
Yes. The translation follows the original: articles, paragraphs and defined terms keep the same numbering and the same terminology, which makes the two versions easy to compare.
Will my documents be kept confidential?
Yes. Your documents are handled confidentially, and a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) can be signed on request.
Do you also translate French company documents into German?
Yes. Articles of association, Kbis extracts or annual accounts of French companies are translated for a commercial register, a bank or a business partner in Germany, Austria or Switzerland. If an apostille is required, the translation is done first and the apostille is then issued in France by the notarial authorities.
